Dr Brown Because

Visual and surreal comedy absurdist Dr Brown arrives at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe with the hit international show Dr Brown Because. A largely wordless act of absurdist mime and downright uncomfortable weirdness, the show may or may not involve handcuffs, olives, board games, dancing, sunscreen and a transvestite. Leaving audiences delightfully bewildered, Dr Brown goes strange places, turns left and then goes even stranger.

“Hilariously peculiar” The Times

“About as bonkers an hour of comedy as every you would find” The Sunday Times

“Often unsettling, always bonkers extreme surrealism – this doctor’s outrageously funny and

  truly unique” TimeOut

“Laugh out loud hilarious… so stupid it plops back into the realm of bizarre genius” The List

“One of the most bizarre and compelling shows seen at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe” The Telegraph

“Consistently full on funny” The Guardian

“Sublime absurdist genius” The Independent

“Tedious, execrable tripe” Chortle (you can’t please everybody!).
